Determinants of catastrophic healthcare expenditure in Peru

摘要: The aims of this study were to assess factors associated with catastrophic healthcare expenditure (CHE) and the burden out-of-pocket (OOP) payments for specific services in Peru. We used data from 30,966 households that participated 2016 National Household Survey (Encuesta Nacional de Hogares, ENAHO). Participants reported household characteristics on ten services. CHE was defined as spending equal or higher than 40% household's capacity pay. associations various OOP assessed logistic regression models. Poorer, rural smaller well those older adults individuals chronic conditions had greater odds facing CHE. According estimates adjusted model, could be grouped into three groups.
