摘要: The identification of sensitive and specific biomarkers for Parkinson’s disease (PD) poses an important clinical challenge. A potential biomarker early diagnosis monitoring PD is region-specific iron. Iron accumulation in the substantia nigra pars compacta considered a main characteristic PD. However, questions remain, such as relationship between nigral iron indices (motor impairment or duration). Further, previous studies have suggested influence on other nuclei. quantification using magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) allows regional symptoms vivo. Thus, this review we discuss following topics: technological development MRI measuring brain iron, marker both prodromal stages, influences PD, translation future perspectives.
