摘要: This study assesses the extent of nonresponse and recall biases in a travel spending survey 1,647 individuals. Detailed data from actual nonrespondents were collected. Although response rate to mailback was relatively high (79%), bias some key variables detected. Additional findings cast doubt on use either wave analysis or late respondent comparisons as proxies for nonrespondents. Recall also observed but found be related much trip complexity passage time. Findings support procedures that obtain complete responses during immediately upon completion respondent's trip.
