摘要: Astrocytomas are the most frequent brain tumour type in adults. The common astrocytoma is glioblastoma (GBM), which also malignant and refractory to treatment--ultimately leading patient's death within a year of diagnosis. Neither classical nor more experimental therapeutic approaches have significantly improved clinical outcome this disease. Expression profile analysis primary tumours has provided recent insight into identification new GBM targets. These proteins serve as excellent candidates either inhibit target molecule's functions (e.g., angiogenesis, migration or proliferation) or, coupled with toxin radionucleotide, bind exterminate cells. receptor protein tyrosine phosphatase zeta (RPTPzeta) one its main ligands, pleiotropin (Ptn), overexpressed GBMs, thus making them potentially very good targets for development immunotherapeutics. This review will summarise advances therapies focusing on RPTPzeta
