摘要: Summary Polyethylene glycol, phenol red, polyethylene glycol- 14 C, inulin-carboxyl- and mannitol-1- C were compared as nonabsorbable indicators in the rat small intestine. The indicator solution was perfused through lumen of situ content collected perfusion luminal washings used to calculate total recovery. Mean recoveries for all more than 95 % except tracer C. When carrier mannitol added, recovery satisfactory. Even glycol red only 97 98 recovered. Total from serum urine could not explain 2 3 loss indicator. If data are a valid measure absorption, underestimate net water absorption by %. radioactively labeled analyzed readily should prove be increasingly useful.
