摘要: The stimulatory effects of follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH), insulin, and insulin-like growth factor I (IGF-I) on lactate production hexose uptake by Sertoli cells from immature rats were studied. time-courses the maximal FSH, IGF-I virtually identical. When incubated in presence FSH combination with insulin or (submaximal doses), additive but no pronounced synergistic observed. not dependent extracellular calcium. 2-Deoxy-D-glucose (2-DOG), an analogue D-glucose, was used to investigate transport system cells. Uptake 2-DOG linear time all intracellular phosphorylated up 30 min incubation; inhibited cytochalasin B, E. D-galactose, appeared be effective competitor uptake. Km influenced IGF-I. had effect Vmax uptake, whereas caused a 30% stimulation Vmax. It is concluded that stimulate cultured cells, only transport. may principally involve glycolytic enzyme activities.
