摘要: The results of the study reported here are part an ongoing integrated research programme aimed at producing additional, robust, evidence on genetic resistance to classical scrapie in goats, with particular reference codon 146. targeted animals aged ⩾6 years, which were born and raised infected herds being culled for management reasons. A total 556 tested, all positive (n = 117) susceptible NN genotype. 246 goats heterozygous or homozygous putatively resistant alleles (S146 D146) screened no results. outcome this supports hypothesis that D146 S146 could be used as basis a nationwide strategy breeding Cypriot goat population.
