摘要: Over a decade ago, nanotechnologists began research on applications of nanomaterials for medicine. This has revealed wide range different challenges, as well many opportunities. Some these challenges are strongly related to informatics issues, dealing, instance, with the management and integration heterogeneous information, defining nomenclatures, taxonomies classifications various types nanomaterials, new modeling simulation techniques nanoparticles. Nanoinformatics recently emerged in USA Europe address issues. In this paper, we present review nanoinformatics, describing its origins, problems it addresses, areas interest, examples current initiatives resources. We suggest that nanoinformatics could accelerate development nanomedicine, occurred past other fields. For biomedical served fundamental catalyst Human Genome Project, genomic -omics projects, translational efforts link resulting molecular-level clinical findings.
