Nanoparticles in modern medicine: state of the art and future challenges.

摘要: Nanoparticles are materials with overall dimensions in the nanoscale, ie, under 100 nm. In recent years, these have emerged as important players modern medicine, clinical applications ranging from contrast agents imaging to carriers for drug and gene delivery into tumors. Indeed, there some instances where nanoparticles enable analyses therapies that simply cannot be performed otherwise. However, also bring them unique environmental societal challenges, particularly regard toxicity. This review aims highlight major contributions of medicine discuss aspects their use.
