Treatment of solitary gastric carcinoid tumor by endoscopic polypectomy in a patient with pernicious anemia.

摘要: Type I gastric carcinoid tumors result from hypergastrinemia in 1%-7% of patients with pernicious anemia. We diagnosed anemia a 48-year-old female patient complaint fatigue for three months. She had no gastrointestinal symptoms. Endoscopic examination ot the upper tract revealed atrophic gastritis and polypoid lesion corpus 3-4 mm size. polypectomy was performed. Histopathological specimen positive chromogranin A synaptophysin stainings compatible diagnosis tumor. Serum gastrin level increased, urinary 5-hydroxyindoleacetic acid within normal range. There other symptom, sign, or laboratory finding syndrome patient. No metastasis found indium-111 octreotide scan, computed tomographies abdomen thorax. are only rarely solitary < 1 cm size may benefit endoscopic polypectomy.
