摘要: Contents Oestrous detection is crucial for successful dairy cow reproduction. Bulls identify cows in oestrus by oestrous-specific odours especially urine and vaginal fluid. These have been used to train dogs detect heat. To improve simplify the dog training, a spray containing synthetic oestrous molecules was developed. The objective of this study test on similarities natural substance thus assess its suitability as training heat dogs. Ten privately owned various breeds were trained. Dogs should be trained either differentiate fluid from dioestrus (n = 5), or with without (n = 5). could odour they had an overall accuracy 69.0% 82.4%, respectively (p = 0.019). validate molecules, further (accuracy 37.6%). detected 50.0% (50% vs 37.4%, p < 0.05). can recognize after but needs improved.
