摘要: The mechanism of the immobilization surfactant sodium 10-undecenoate (C11(:)) on poly(ethylene) (PE) by means an argon plasma treatment has been investigated. In particular, influence vacuum ultraviolet (UV) radiation emitted was studied. For this purpose, PE samples were coated with C11(:) (PE/C11(:) samples) and treated under different conditions. PE/C11(:) placed inside (glow) outside (afterglow) visible region plasma. Additionally, polymer that in glow covered lithium fluoride or quartz crystals. These materials are transparent for electromagnetic a wavelength longer than 104 150 nm, respectively. Derivatization X-ray Photoelectron Spectroscopy applied to characterize modified surfaces. It demonstrated UV shorter nm made predominant contribution process immobilization. Under certain conditions it possible retain about 30% functional groups initially layer PE.
