摘要: OBJECTIVES Candida tropicalis is the fourth most common cause of candidaemia in hospitalized patients and associated mortality high. C. frequently causes biofilm-related infections. Echinocandins amphotericin B show potent vitro activity against albicans biofilms, but their biofilms has received little attention. METHODS We studied production biofilm by 54 isolates from blood antifungal susceptibility these to micafungin, liposomal B. Biofilm was measured using crystal violet assay determine biomass XTT reduction metabolic activity. The planktonic sessile cells EUCAST EDef 7.2 procedure assay, respectively. MIC endpoint SMIC80 defined as an 80% treated with compared control well. RESULTS three drugs were very active form, micafungin showing highest (P < 0.001). Micafungin agent In contrast, showed poor CONCLUSIONS drug biofilm. Although echinocandins are considered spp. this not true for tropicalis, biofilms.
