摘要: Purpose Our purpose was to assess comparative female representation trends for trainees and full-time faculty in the academic radiation oncology hematology workforce of United States over 3 decades. Methods Materials Simple linear regression models with year as independent variable were used determine changes percentage per associated 95% confidence intervals each specialty. Results Peak 48.4% (801/1654) 2013 trainees, 39.0% (585/1499) 2014 faculty, 34.8% (202/581) 2007 27.7% (439/1584) 2015 faculty. Representation significantly increased both specialties at approximately 1% 0.3% Compared oncology, rates 3.84 2.94 times greater respectively. Conclusion Despite trainee time physician workforce, is lagging behind declining recent years oncology; this suggests a de facto ceiling representation. Whether such issues delayed or insufficient exposure, inadequate mentorship, specialty competitiveness disparately affect compared are underexplored require continued investigation ensure that future oncologic reflects diversity population it serves.
