Two-dimensional integer wavelet transform with reduced influence of rounding operations

摘要: If a system for lossless compression of images applies decorrelation step, this step must map integer input values to output values. This can be achieved, example, using the wavelet transform (IWT). The non-linearity, introduced by obligatory rounding steps, is main drawback IWT, since it deteriorates desired filter characteristic. paper discusses different methods reducing influence in 5/3 and 9/7 banks. A novel combination two-dimensional implementations JPEG2000 bank with new coefficients proposed effects on image are investigated. In addition, these banks compared Deslauriers-Dubuc (97DD). analysed generally perform better than their one-dimensional counterparts terms ratio natural images.
