摘要: This report reduces the total number of lifting steps in a three-dimensional (3D) double discrete wavelet transform (DWT), which has been widely applied for analyzing volumetric medical images. The are necessary components DWT. Since calculation step must wait result former step, cascading many brings about increase delay from input to output. We decrease introducing 3D memory accessing implementation low also maintain compatibility with conventional 5/3 DWT defined by JPEG 2000 international standard utilization its software and hardware resources. Finally, rounding operations were reduced 67 % 33 %, respectively. It was observed that amount errors due reduced.
