摘要: Aims: Research on biofilms requires validated quantitative models that focus both matrix and viable bacterial mass. In this study, a new microplate model for the detection of Staphylococcus aureus was developed. Methods Results: Dimethyl methylene blue (DMMB) dye used to quantify biofilm colorimetrically. Initially developed glycosaminoglycans, DMMB protocol optimized S. research. addition, redox indicator resazurin determine burden. Conclusion: A new, simple reproducible test system based resazurin, offering reliable differentiation between cellular activity, biofilms. Significance Impact Study: The DMMB–resazurin microtitre plate is valuable tool high capacity screening biocides development synergistic mixtures biocides, destroying bacteria.
