摘要: The catalytic activity of dioxo-molybdenum(VI)-dichloro[4,4′-dicarboxylato-2,2′-bipyridine] covalently anchored through the carboxylate function to surface TiO2 has been tested for oxidative degradation 1-chloro-4-ethylbenzene in MeCN solution under argon and UV irradiation (λ = 254 nm). After 4–5 h photochemical reaction, Mo complex was reoxidized presence O2 dark, then reaction continued argon. proceeds by intermediate formation 4′-chloroacetophenone that undergoes further decomposition chlorobenzene, plus small amounts oxygen-containing organochlorine compounds, CO2 H2O. Similar results were obtained same conditions, which also gave chlorobenzene as one main products. ratio [final product]/[Mo complex] increases during (up 350–400% 30–35 reaction), provides evidence a process. probable reactions are discussed.
