摘要: Concerns over water scarcity, climate change, and environmental health risks have prompted some Asian cities to invest in river rehabilitation, but deciding on the end goals of rehabilitation is a complex undertaking. We propose multidisciplinary framework linking riparian landscape change human well-being, providing information relevant decision makers, format that facilitates stakeholder involvement. illustrate this through case study densely settled, environmentally degraded, flood prone Ciliwung River flowing metropolitan Jakarta, Indonesia. Our methodology attempts respond complexity an iterative approach, strongly based conceptualization mathematical modeling. Nested hydrologic, hydrodynamic, quality models provide outputs at catchment-, corridor-, localized site-scales. Advanced 3-D modeling used for procedural design precise visualization proposed changes their impacts, as predicted by models. Finally, participatory planning methods allow us obtain critical feedback shaping socially acceptable approach. aims demonstrating paradigm possible, future scenarios balance concerns flooding, quality, ecology, with realities rapidly growing megacity.
