摘要: Although the postpericardiotomy syndrome is a common complication of cardiac operations, most effective drug regimen for treatment this condition has not been established. The present study was designed to evaluate effectiveness nonsteroidal antiinflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) in syndrome, double-blind, placebo-controlled randomized trial with 10-day course ibuprofen or indomethacin. Of 1019 adult patients undergoing operations during 14-month period, diagnosis made 187, and 149 were enrolled study. Diagnosis based on presence at least two following: fever, anterior chest pain, friction rub. Drug efficacy defined as resolution these criteria within 48 hours initiation. Ibuprofen indomethacin 90.2% 88.7% effective, respectively, both significantly more than placebo (62.5%, p = 0.003). occurrence side effects, including nausea, vomiting, renal failure, fluid retention, low all groups (13.1% ibuprofen, 16.1% indomethacin, 16.7% [p significant). Length hospital stay, incidence ischemic events, accumulation significant pericardial effusions similar groups. results demonstrate that provide safe symptomatic syndrome.
