Exploring the role of chirality in nucleic acid recognition.

摘要: The study of the base-pairing properties nucleic acids with sugar moieties in backbone belonging to L-series (β-L-DNA, β-L-RNA, and their analogs) are reviewed. major structural factors underlying formation stable heterochiral complexes obtained by incorporation modified nucleotides into natural duplexes, or hybridization between homochiral strands opposite sense chirality highlighted. In addition, perspective use L-nucleic as candidates for various therapeutic applications, tools both synthetic biology etiology-oriented investigations on structure stereochemistry is discussed.
