摘要: For study of the enamel-protective effect chlorhexidine-fluoride applications, labial surfaces pieces bovine incisors were treated with 0.2% chlorhexidine gluconate solution, Duraphat fluoride varnish, or both above agents, while one group was distilled water and left as an untreated control. Furthermore, a placebo varnish used in chlorhexidine- distilled-water-treated groups; all varnishes removed after 24 h. The enamel slabs mounted pairwise artificial mouth to form approximal contacts. teeth continuously rinsed common pool saliva which added 3% sucrose, infected on first day Streptococcus mutans, "Ingbritt". renewed daily incubation at 37 degrees C lasted for 10 days. appreciable softening found distilled-water- placebo-varnish-treated tended be prevented by even more treatment, treatment completely. saliva, only day, daily, become acidified toward end experimental period, obviously because fermenting organisms had model formed plaque-like coatings enamel.
