摘要: People tend to choose perfumes complement their body odour. As kin share some odour qualities, ability select complementary for relatives might be higher compared with selection nonrelatives. We tested this in two studies, comparing of a perfume target man by himself and either familiar but unrelated individual (girlfriend; Study 1) or relative (sister; 2). Target men applied the (own other's choice) axillae then wore cotton pads 12 hr. Collected perfume-body blends alone were assessed rater panels. In 1, rated as nominally more pleasant when odours mixed selected girlfriends those themselves. 2, sisters significantly attractive than men. No significant differences found attractiveness pleasantness ratings alone, suggesting that it was resulting uniquely different. Our results indicate particularly tuned suitable siblings.
