摘要: DNA adenine methylation is widely used to control many transactions, including replication. In Escherichia coli, serves silence newly synthesized (hemimethylated) sister origins. SeqA, a protein that binds hemimethylated DNA, mediates the silencing, and this necessary restrict replication once per cell cycle.
