摘要: Degradation reduces DNA quality and quantity in faecal samples leads to low amplification success. We investigated the influence of repeat motif amplicon length by comparing success five dinucleotide, tetranucleotide, two compound microsatellite markers for African elephant (Loxodonta africana) samples. found that both influenced success, suggest use simple containing alleles with small sizes maximise degraded DNA.
