摘要: Abstract Five patients with glioma were examined positron emission tomography using ([11C]methyl)-L-methionine. The study was repeated while the patient being infused branched chain amino acids (BCAA), 250 μmol/min. accumulation rates of methionine in tumor tissue and normal brain compared without infusion acids. Both showed a reduction by 35% received infusion. In one severe blood-tissue barrier disruption rate unaffected. It is concluded that gliomas disruption, governed processes exhibiting similar properties regarding competition BCAA as tissue.
