摘要: Influenza, a respiratory disease caused by influenza viruses, is still worldwide threat with high potential to cause pandemic. Beside vaccination, only two classes of drugs are available for antiviral treatment against the pathogen. Here we show that CYSTUS052, plant extract from special variety Cistus incanus rich in polymeric polyphenols, exhibits activity highly pathogenic avian A virus (H7N7) cell culture and mouse infection model. In vitro vivo was performed an aerosol formulation, because bioavailability molecular weight polyphenols poor. MDCK cells, 90% reduction plaque numbers on cells pre-incubated achieved. For experiments used novel monitoring system virus-infected mice allows measurement body temperature gross motor-activity animals. Mice treated CYSTUS052 did not develop disease, showed neither differences their nor exhibited no histological alterations bronchiolus epithelial cells.
