摘要: Aim: The aim of this prospective clinical trial was to evaluate the effects antibiotic therapy following different administration times on postoperative complications surgical removal lower impacted third molars. Materials and Methods: Three hundred twenty seven consecutive patients (128 males 199 females) aged 18 40 years old (mean=23.1±3.9 years) were recruited into study. molars all surgically extracted. Participants received either intravenous Velocef 1 gram or intra-oral 500 mg Cephalexin pre- (Group A, n=122), B, n=70) post-operatively C, n=135). Immediate late surgery; including pain, swelling, trismus, paraesthesia, bleeding, dry socket, infection fracture mandible; assessed 3 days 7-14 surgery.
