摘要: The endogenous neurotransmitter noradrenaline exerts anti-inflammatory and neuroprotective effects in vitro vivo. Several studies report that levels are altered the central nervous system of patients with multiple sclerosis rodents experimental autoimmune encephalomyelitis, which could contribute to pathology. Since major source neurons locus coeruleus, we hypothesized alterations a consequence stress or damage coeruleus neurons. In C57BL/6 mice immunized myelin oligodendrocyte glycoprotein peptide 35-55 develop chronic disease, cortical spinal cord were significantly reduced versus control mice. Immunohistochemical staining revealed increased astrocyte activation ventral portion showed neuronal detected by reduction average cell size tyrosine hydroxylase stained Analysis brains significant increase activation, levels, indicated hypertrophy bodies. However, magnitude these changes was not correlated extent demyelination cellular infiltrates. Together findings demonstrate presence inflammation as well encephalomyelitis. be permissive for damage, results suggest methods raise function may benefit treating sclerosis.
