摘要: Microbial cell populations in polluted water were determined by using a fuel cell-type electrode. The electrode was composed of Pt anode, Pt-K3Fe(CN)6-K4Fe(CN)6 cathode, and cation-exchange membrane for separating two compartments. principle microbial number determination is based on sensing redox dye reduced microorganisms with the Sample solutions containing microorganisms, (thionine), peptone purged oxygen-free nitrogen during determination. A linear relationship obtained between increasing rate current cells measured colony count method above 10(4) per ml. time varied from 20 to 60 min 3.6 x 10(6) ml, respectively.
