摘要: The first edition of the Brazilian Official Pharmacopoeia (FBRAS), published in 1929, is a rich source information about American medicinal plants, since it lists species used both traditional and conventional medicine. In this study, we have performed survey uses plants described eighty-seven Monographs from FBRAS twenty bibliographies written 19th century to 1970s. Eighty-six different are three or more books; some them were cited ten books, illustrating their widespread use importance long tradition medical utility, which confirmed by historical records. surveying these medically relevant species, hope encourage policy makers scientific public as whole engage strong debate an attempt improve facilitate pharmacological study species.
