摘要: Organophosphate (OP) insecticides are widely used for controlling insect pests better crop production in India. But indiscriminate use and lack of proper technical knowhow have resulted contamination pollution large varieties ecological niches. A novel bacterial strain designated as SanPS1, capable utilizing chlorpyrifos parathion, was isolated by enrichment culture from a soil sample an agricultural field located at Narigram Burdwan district West Bengal, This Gram positive, endospore forming identified Bacillus aryabhattai based on 16S rDNA sequencing. The tolerated up to 500 μg mL−1 parathion both compounds optimal degradation achieved concentration 200 μg mL−1. metabolites were high performance liquid chromatography gas chromatography-mass spectrometry analyses. We propose pathway this through formation 4-nitrophenol 4-nitrocatechol intermediates. could degrade approximately 56% mineral medium within 24 h 37 °C.
