摘要: This study investigated the effects of exercise on motor function 11 young people (10 females, one male; age range 11-15y; mean 12y 7mo [SD 1y 4mo]) with cerebral palsy (CP) who were non-ambulant (Gross Motor Function Classification System Levels IV or V), using an adapted static bicycle. Three participants had dyskinetic quadriplegia, seven spastic and diplegia. The used ABA design acting as their own controls 6-week baseline, (three sessions a week), follow-up periods. Outcomes assessed Gross Measure (GMFM)-66 GMFM-88. A "graded test" determined pedalling resistance, "overload" was ensured by increasing duration speed pedalling. Results showed significant improvements in GMFM-66 (p=0.010) GMFM-88 dimensions D (Standing; P=0.012) E (Walking, Running, Jumping; p=0.011) over intervention period, but not baseline Significant found "cycling" ability for (p<0.001), (p=0.01), resistance (p=0.001). demonstrates that relatively short, clinically feasible training programme bicycle can lead to valuable functional CP. provided safe, effective means population very limited opportunities activity.
