摘要: Proconvulsant and convulsant effects of cocaine have been described in various experimental models epilepsy. We studied the susceptibility to bicuculline pentylenetetrazol-induced seizures developing 10-, 20- 30-day old rats, gestationally exposed cocaine. Incidence latency appearance epileptic manifestations, their evolution toward status epilepticus successive recovery or death, evaluated compared same parameters obtained control animals ages. Results demonstrated that 10-day-old rats had are significantly less sensitive than action both pentylenetetrazole while no substantial differences between two groups found at It is possible modifications neurotransmitter systems caused by prenatal exposure modify neuronal excitability least early stages development.
