The isomers of cocaine and tropacocaine: Effect on 3H-catecholamine uptake by rat brain synaptosomes

摘要: Abstract Compared to (+)- pseudo cocaine, (−)-cocaine was 20 times more potent in inhibiting uptake of 3 H-norepinephrine ( HNE) by cortical synaptosomes and 66 with respect H-dopamine HDA) striatal synaptosomes. Although the tropacocaine isomers were equipotent as inhibitors HNE cortex, 3.9 an inhibitor HDa striatum than tropococaine. A major known cocaine metabolite, benzoylecgonine failed inhibit accumulation HDA from cortex striatum, respectively. The implications these findings relation motor stimulation seen (−)-cocaine, rats are discussed.
