摘要: A seroepidemiologic survey about hepatitis virus (HAV) infection was carried out in a group comprising 310 children, ranging age from 3 months to 9 years, day-care centers, Goiania, middle sized city the central region of Brazil. The biomarkers employed investigation previous include total IgG and IgM anti-HAV antibodies, for detection more recent infection, antibodies were analyzed. study performed 1991 1992. According results, 69.7% children presented IgG/IgM with 60% range 1 years. Among 10 centers analyzed, prevalence biomarker 3.2%, an uniform distribution cases 4 Multi-variate analysis investigate sociodemographic factors that could influence results. It verified risk increased length attendance i.e., one year or 4.7 times higher, when compared month (CI 95% 2.3-9.9). is endemic area. settings demonstrated be factor HAV infection. Such findings suggest if hepatits vaccination becomes available as routine policy our region, target should under year. Moreover, those receive vaccine before they start attend centers.
