摘要: Three different systems of designating protected areas in a Mediterranean region southeastern Spain were studied, referring to their effectiveness and efficiency for protecting both the breeding territories suitable habitat set ten raptor species. Taking into consideration varying degrees endangerment these species, map multispecies conservation values was also drawn up superimposed on three protected-area studied. In order compare levels protection afforded by systems, we considered two indices that measured relative efficiency. The estimated proportion or optimal networks while implicitly area each system (percentage per 1% land protected). Overall, our results showed most efficient formed regional parks reserves (17 100 km2), although, given its small total area, it far least effective (only 21% all species 17% high value). Special Protection Areas (designated under EU “Birds Directive”) Conservation “Habitats notably increased percentages (61%) value (57%), but not as expected cases. overall level except Lesser Kestrel (Falco naumanni), an endangered falcon inhabits pseudo-steppe traditional agricultural habitats, which are clearly underrepresented network study region.
