摘要: The nature of amphiphilic self-assembly in alkylammonium protic ionic liquids (PILs) is examined by systematically varying the structure and composition, H-bonding capacity, nanostructure both PIL micelle-forming cationic surfactant, contrasted with water. Using small-angle neutron scattering, micelle concentrations are determined for primary – quaternary dodecylammonium salts nitrate thiocyanate PILs. While solvophobic driving force depends only on average polarity PIL, surprisingly strong, specific interactions head group counterion H-bond network found. This suggests importance developing designer amphiphiles assembling soft matter structures
