摘要: Perth and Shanghai represent developed developing cities, being diverse in urban development, population densities economic development. Of significant interest is that as one city seeks to move away from car reliance by public transport an alternative mode of travel, the other avoid increasing use. No matter what “mobility life-stage” they are belonging to, has received renewed attention both cities a sustainable environmentally sensitive travel. At level, it been demonstrated pre-dominantly monocentric structures. Also planning likely downplays importance user focus planning. Residents will not see favouring their needs. Similar underlying structures approaches have made solutions particularly challenging cities. To draw research world perspective these two contexts should be considered. World wide range land use strategies support promote transport. However outcome for travel behaviour change still uncertain. The aim this paper provide understanding extent personal affected individual factors such socio-economic characteristics attitudes rather than external system system. Two neighbourhoods chosen used case studies comparative analysis residents based on good accessibility within own context. Drawing secondary data diaries primary intercept surveys, findings confirm expected motorisation traveller’s decision choice.
