摘要: Abstract Kβ-to-Kα X-ray intensity ratios of Ti, V, Cr and Fe have been measured in pure metals the compounds TiC, VC, CrB, CrB2 FeB following excitation by 59.54 keV γ-rays from a 200 mCi 241Am point-source. Comparison with multiconfiguration Dirac–Fock calculation indicates significant change 3d electron population Ti TiC CrB their metal values almost no for V VC FeB. In we found transfer 0.65±0.16 electrons state whereas increases 0.60±0.30 0.75±0.30 electrons, respectively, over value. Although our charge result is closer to prediction APW band structure calculations firm conclusion can be made result. Our relative ratio respect does not agree previously reported experimental Chang et al. (J. Phys. B: At. Mol. Opt. 27 (1994) 5251). results predict boron agreement some earlier published magnetic Hall effect measurements.
