摘要: Abstract Objectives The importance of sex on cardiac troponin levels is increasingly recognized. We investigated whether the entities associated with leakage and prognostic consequences thereof would differ between elderly men women from community. Design methods Cardiac I (cTnI) were measured using a high-sensitivity assay (Abbott Laboratories) in 70-year old (n = 502) PIVUS study. All study participants followed up for 10 years regarding all-cause mortality incident cardiovascular (CV) disease. Results Median cTnI 4.1 3.0 ng/L women, respectively (p  Conclusions found some differences higher community-dwelling women. However, this did not translate into associations adverse outcome.
