摘要: We report on the analysis of thermally-limited operation quantum-dot infrared photodetectors (QDIPs). A device model is developed and used to calculate QDIP detectivity as a function structural parameters, temperature, applied voltage, well determine conditions for maximum. The compared with that quantum-well (QWIPs). This work clarifies why existing QDIPs are still inferior QWIPs shows significant improvement in performance can be accomplished by utilization dense QD arrays small QDs.
