摘要: We tested the efficacy of coronavirus-like particles (VLPs) for protecting mice against severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus (SCoV) infection. Coexpression SCoV S protein and E, M N proteins mouse hepatitis virus in 293T or CHO cells resulted efficient production chimeric VLPs carrying protein. Balb/c inoculated with a mixture alum twice at an interval four weeks were protected from challenge, as indicated by absence infectious lungs. The same groups had high levels SCoV-specific neutralizing antibodies, while negative control groups, which not immunized VLPs, failed to manifest suggesting that antibodies are important suppression viral replication within Despite some differences cellular composition inflammatory infiltrates, we did observe any overt lung pathology chimeric-VLP-treated mice, when compared mice. Our results show VLP can be effective vaccine strategy
