摘要: Among homosexual men the prevalence of infection with Entamoeba histolytica is high. To determine clinical importance this 55 carrying parasite were investigated in detail. No clinical, serological, or histological evidence invasive amoebiasis was found any them. The patients not treated and followed up for 12 to 29 months (mean 21.6 months), during which period none developed symptoms that could be attributed E histolytica. Spontaneous loss occurred 17 patients, some whom later became reinfected. Sixteen had antibody human immunodeficiency virus, showed same benign course them as who did have antibody. Throughout study classification isolates consistently they belonged only non-pathogenic zymodemes. findings provide further a commensal organism.
