摘要: The mammalian adult central nervous system (CNS) has an inherent ability to generate neurons and glia. dogma that the CNS remains incapable of regeneration came from observation most glia are post-mitotic cells. However, this idea is now widely challenged by demonstration indeed mitotic cells detected in restricted areas CNS. Among these regions, subventricular zone (SVZ) forebrain largest germinative brain. It also one characterized area at cellular molecular level. While studies highlight neurogenic potential SVZ, we will review its gliogenic normal demyelinating conditions.
