摘要: Context.—Genomic medicine is revolutionizing patient care. Physicians in areas as diverse oncology, obstetrics, and infectious disease have begun using next-generation sequencing assays standard diagnostic tools. Objective.—To review the role of pathologists genomic testing well current educational programs future training needs pathology. Data Sources.—Published literature personal experience based on committee membership pathology curricular design. Conclusions.—Pathologists, directors clinical laboratories, must be prepared to integrate into their practice. The community has made significant progress genomics-related education. A continued coordinated proactive effort will ensure a vital for evolving health care system also best possible
