摘要: Leishmaniasis, a parasitic protozoan disease, is still worldwide concern due to persistent issues with chemotherapy, rapid emerging drug resistance; and non- availability of approved vaccine for the control disease. Therefore, search parasite specific proteins identify new anti-leishmanial targets candidates an urgent priority. In this context, that are secreted, in vitro during growth under defined conditions, can be explored as potential tool studying their roles survival inside host disease pathogenesis. From last few years, various approaches have been exploited secreted out by parasites conditions at particular stage or time. Due genomic information on Leishmania species, proteomics emerged most promising approach analyzing complexity exoproteome different species. Herein, we summarized secretion mechanisms used export into extracellular space; followed role analysis along special emphasis applications study exoproteome, which might provide design novel antigens development.
