摘要: Generation length (GL) is defined as the average age of parents current cohort, reflecting turnover rate breeding individuals in a population. GL fundamental piece information for population ecology well measuring species threat status (e.g. IUCN Red List). Here we present dataset including records all extant mammal (n=5427). We first reviewed data on published List database. then calculated value with available reproductive parameters (reproductive life span and at reproduction). assigned to missing-data mean from congeneric or confamilial (depending availability). Finally, few remaining species, values similar body mass belonging same order. Our work provides attempt complete database mammals; it will be an essential reference point conservation-related studies that need pragmatic GL, such dynamics applications assessment.
