摘要: Geographic range size is the manifestation of complex interactions between intrinsic species traits and extrinsic environmental conditions. It also a fundamental ecological attribute key extinction risk correlate. Past research has primarily focused on role biological predictors size, but macroecological patterns can be distorted by human activities. Here, we analyse (biogeography, habitat state, climate, pressure) (biology) variables in predicting world's terrestrial mammals. In particular, our aim to compare predictive ability pressure vs. biology. We evaluated 19 for 4867 repeated analyses after excluding restricted-range performed separate different biogeographic realms taxonomic groups. Our model had high showed that climatic pressures are most influential size. Interestingly, predict current geographic better than traits. These findings were confirmed when repeating large-ranged species, individual regions Climatic impacts have determined mammal past main factors shaping present distribution affect other vertebrate groups globally, their influence may similar as well.
