摘要: This study evaluated in-car and in-bus exposures to methyl-tertiary butyl ether (MTBE), benzene, toluene on actual commuting routes, not hypothetical routes as used in many previous in-vehicle exposure studies of volatile organic compounds (VOCs). It focuses four potentially influencing factors (transportation mode, passenger-car type, time day, season). A total 40 passenger car commuters 20 public bus were recruited. The same participated both the summer winter studies. transportation type commute season all found affect levels target VOCs. Conversely, day had little effect compounds. present also confirmed that under Korean conditions, interiors are important microenvironments for MTBE, benzene toluene. is supported by a finding air VOCs tend be much higher than ambient Meanwhile, some spurious gasoline sold during experimental periods appears have elevated compared with those reported conducted area.
